Well,

I won't blame my not posting on being busy anymore. We are all busy!! Honestly I just haven't felt like posting. Call it a blog break. So much has changed in my children these past months. My boys are no longer babies, they are full blown toddlers and very much boys. Brinley is becoming a little lady right before our eyes and it is amazing me daily. I love hearing the boys call for their "sissy" and I can not get enough of Logan saying "i love you to!". So sweet! Austins kisses get sweeter each time and Brinley singing "mighty to save" is one of the most perfect thing a parent could ever hear. I have so many stories and pictures but those will come in due time!:)

And then they were 2!!

Well better late than never at least that is my current motto when it comes to keeping up with this blog. My sweet baby boys have been two for a month now and I can honestly say I am just amazed at how much they have changed in the past two years. Our life on a daily basis is an adventure. We never know what to expect from one day to the next with two two year olds. Logan loves to talk and is saying two and three word phrases at a time. He loves to watch veggie tales and likes to say "bye bye goliath" when david throws the rock at him. So cute. He loves to pray with you when you pray. Logan, I love that you look at books and ask me to say the name or sound of whatever you are pointing at. Like you are trying to teach me a few things! If you only knew the things you and your brother were teaching me :). You have quite the left arm and I think your dad secretly hopes you play football one day. You are so sweet and compassionate. You are already showing signs of a quiet confidence in yourself. You can charm a room full of people and you have a smile that melts my heart. Your eyes are so full of life and adventure. I look forward to seeing you grow up and I am so glad that you are my LOLO!
Austin is not as vocal as his brother but I have a feeling when he decides its time to talk we are never going to be able to keep him quiet. He has absolutely no fear when it comes to anything dangerous. I guess that is why he has a permanent bump on his head. He loves to eat and is very funny to watch when he does because he kind of talks to his food as he is eating it. Austin, you are constantly keeping on my toes. I know that when you are around there is never going to be a dull moment. You love to enjoy life. You love to climb on things and love to push your toys around. I love watching you figure out how things work and I only wish I knew what your little head was thinkging while you did it. I love that you clap your hands when ever any music starts playing. I especially am fond of how you say "WoW or Whoa" whenever mommy has gone over a bump in the car. Everything to you is an adventure, something waiting to be explored by you. Your curiostiy is one of my most favorite things about you. I love your hugs and kisses that you give me without asking. I look forward to this next year and all that it holds for you bubba!!

Cakes Cakes and More Cakes!

I had the privilege of making two birthday cakes this weekend for some of my dear friends little girls. The butterfly cake was for Madison who is now two and such a big girl! Happy Birthday Madi, Sorry we had to miss your birthday fun! The Easter egg cake was for sweet little Kate. She had an Easter egg hunt in honor of her 1st birthday and what better way to celebrate with an Easter egg cake. Happy Birthday sweet Kate! I can't believe all of our children are growing up so fast. I hope you both enjoyed eating your cake as much as I enjoyed making them!!

Happy Easter!

Easter was so much fun this year with Brinley. For the first time in 3 1/2 years she finally understood what it was all about. We talked every day about it for the past two weeks. She made her own shortened version of the resurrection eggs at school and she told me the whole story! I almost had tears in my eyes. I am positive she doesn't quite understand the extent of the price that was paid but she know Christ died for Her. Yesterday was ended with her saying "He is Risen, Jesus Christ is Risen" it was more like shouting but either way it was priceless. The boys are still a few years away from such a revelation but my prayer is one day they know as well. Here are a few pics from before church.

Oh the Joys of having Boys!!

So I am amazed at the differences between boys and girls on a daily basis. We all here stories of how different they are but until you have one of each you can never fully understand it. Example one: We were at a birthday party last weekend and it the party entertainment was to color pictures and make froot loop necklaces, wonderful ideas for Brinley and any other girl, but my boys stood at the window and longed for the great outdoors. Needless to say it was very interesting trying to entertain them inside since it was 40 degrees outside. Example Two: When Brinley was a baby her food remainded on her tray or in her mouth. Never once did it end up on the floor, table, etc. I think you know where this is headed. My sweet precious boys have taken it upon themselves to make every meal a contest as to who can throw what ever they are eating the furthest. I will just say we are working on it but still to this day it is an issue. Will and I are looking forward to our boys football/baseball careers. Example Three: Climbing. I dont think i need to say much more than that. I will say I found one of my boys in our big bath tub and his head barely clears the side of it?!? Who knew I would have the next houdini on my hands! Example Four: The trash can. I don't know why they think everything should go in the trash can. Sure I have my days when I am the "Throw Away Queen" but I am by no means showing them that habit, at least not yet anyway. Back to the example and this one has been documented, a few nights ago Will was working late and I was getting the kids pjs on and while I was changing Logan, Austin comes up to me and sits. Austin is not nearly as vocal as Logan and he makes these grunting noises, so he comes and sits by me and grunts. Being his mom I just make up what I want that grunt to mean at that given point in time so I decided he was wanting to hold his pjs while I finished with his brother. I gave him his pjs and told him to "Hold these". I finish up with Logan and then go ahead and change Brinley, she had been waiting so paitently. I call Austin and he comes back empty handed. I ask him,"Where are you pjs" he quickly grunts back an "I don't know". The search for the pjs begins and I look everywhere! I looked through every toy basket we have, every drawer, you name it I looked in it for the pjs. Where could they have gone?? Well I vaguely remember hearing the trash can open and close while changing the other two so I checked to make sure and this is what I found. . .

I had to take a picture and just love the one where they are all looking in the trash with me. Hopefully nothing more important has been thrown away without us knowing but hey if it has we haven't missed it yet. All I can say is the Joy of Boys!

Western Day

Here is our take on what a Cowgirl should look like. A few weeks ago Brin had Western Day at CLC and this is what she wore. I think she looked absolutely adorable but I realize I am a her mom so what else would I think. I am proud of the fact that I tried a new technique and made her shirt with some iron on letters. Although they all fell off by the end of the day it was super easy and I see more iron on crafts in my future!

Mexico here we come!!

So one of the many perks to having a husband in sales is the trips that he can win. My rock star husband one us a trip to Mexico for four days. We will be going to a all inclusive hotel in Cozumel. I am in much need of some rest and relaxation with the hubs. So we are off tomorrow to drop off the kids with some our dear sweet friends in Georgetown. The kids decided that they were going to help me with the packing by trying to pack themselves. :)

I know it's late but. . .

Here are some of the 200 pictures we took over Christmas. We had the privilege of seeing Santa on Christmas Eve. The Henrie Family was so sweet to invite us to their house to enjoy cookies with Santa before me made his big trip around the world delivering gifts. Brinley loved Santa, she sat in his lap and gave him hugs. It was priceless. The boys on the other hand were not so thrilled to be sitting on Santa's lap. I love the pictures with the kids screaming while sitting in Santa's lap, it just doesn't get any better than that. Anyway we headed home and woke up the next morning and started our Christmas morning festivities. The kids loved opening presents and we had so much fun watching their little faces as they opened each one of them. We had a great Christmas and a very Happy New Year. I can't believe it is 2009. I look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for us this year.

Blue and Yellow Make. . .

GREEN!!

Austin clapping for who knows what reason. He loves to clap these days

Logan playing in the grass. He was just trying to blend in with his green costume :)

Brinley doing the balance beam I think we have a future Olympian on our hands

This is a picture we took just before the we left for the fall festival. All the kids were sitting in my lap while daddy was getting ready to go and we just couldn't pass up a photo. I love how Logan looks like he is about to pounce the camera.

Well the Fall Festival or "State Fair of Plano" as it is commonly referred to was a big hit this year. We had so much fun and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Brinley a bit more than boys because she knows how good candy tastes. Every year I love seeing all of the kids dressed up in their costumes. Each child wears them with such pride and I love seeing the confidence in their eyes as they assume the role of that costume for the evening. Will and I debated what the kids should be the this year and I will just say that I did not win the debate. You would be looking at three little pigs had I won, but I will say my little green crayons were so adorable.
