Brinley's birthday is coming up in the next few weeks and I have always wanted to make her cake but have never been brave enough to take the challenge. Well this year I am going to conquer my fear of my own children's birthday cakes. I am a huge perfectionist and decided to have a Test Run before her party next week. I will say that this is not what the exact cake is going to look like, this was just more to practice some techniques. I also did not show it in color because these are left overs I have had from previous cakes. Tune in next week for the real deal and hopefully one that I am more proud of showing but I guess you have to start somewhere and this is at least a start in the right direction. I am excited because starting this fall I am going to be taking cake classes. I don't know about you but that just makes me so happy!!

Test Run
